According to my best field guide, Nerry, the Appalachian azure only flies between mid-May into June, so, unless it's an old picture, it's too late in the year to be that one. Also, unless you're in southeastern-most New York, you're out of its range. It looks like a typical summer azure to me.

That's a great picture - the blues are SO hard to photograph!

Oh thank you Sherry! I'll relabel my pics now. I live in Bronxville, NY. They're some of my favorite little jewels. Yep- they're very hard to photograph. LOL I've lain on the grass to get to the clover's level, bent over backwards and even on my knees and eventually I've gotten some nice shots of them.
