Can someone check my thread below about new swallowtails?

I posted some pics and would love to know a couple of things.

Are both of these butterflies male?

Will that chrysalis in the dirt make it? It seems to be head-down.

That green one in the dirt, from what I can see, looks pretty healthy, but make sure you get it out of the dirt, since it will emerge through the head. It may not be able to get out that way. Just lie it on it's side next to the plant and it can crawl up the plant to straighten it's wings.
