| The weather is beautiful here in North Texas with highs in the low 80s...I even saw my first ever Texas Crescent yesterday!
I have Candlestick Trees & saw this huge sulphur hanging around them the last couple of days. It is much larger than my usual Cloudless Sulphurs. |

| Your sulphur looks like an Orange-barred Sulphur or Phoebis philea. I had one of these in my yard two years ago. I love the coloring! I concur with Runmede, your second butterfly is the Tawny Emperor or Asterocampa clyton. Do you have Hackberry trees? These lay their eggs in a "rack". I've included a link. sandy |

| Such wonderful photos! You must be a whiz with your camera! :o) I am guessing Tawny Emperor and for the sulphur...maybe Large Orange Sulphur..since you say it's much larger than the usual Cloudless. |

| Dear Imabirdnut, I just noticed that when I viewed your photo again that your Orange-barred Sulphur left you a present. She was ovipositing on your Cassia! Find the eggs and you can raise them. How I would love to have some of these to raise! Have fun!!! |

| Orange Barred Sulphur is what it is & a female...hopefully she laid some eggs for me on the Cassia Alatas. Sandy, we do have Hackberries in our area & I have a ton of HEs as well right now attracted to the bowl of rotting fruit I have out! |
