I would call that a fantastic welcome home present. Have had more Queens than usual here lately, but no egg-laying activity. It's getting late in the season for here. But, I have enjoyed watching and photographing all of the butterlies.

Fantastic! I just released 3 males a couple of days ago. The other two chrysalises turned dark, but never eclosed. At least I know my milkweed haven't gone unused this year...because I've had Queens!

I too am excited that something is eating my milkweeds....only had a couple of monarch cats this year. I was surprised to see the queen cats this late.

Today a Queen left me an egg, and maybe 3 more. I just saw her lay the one egg, so I won't know about the others until they hatch. I'm doing the happy dance, even if it is late in the season!
