A Holiday Craft using Milkweed Fluff

If you are saving seed, open the pod and gently remove the brown seeds, then before the fluff dries, insert it into the bulb. (tweezers and a small stick help to insert the still slightly damp fluff)
Generally within a day or two it has dried and filled the bulb.

I have one that I made 3 years ago-still looks good.
I gave them out that year to some of my butterfly friends and I included a package of swamp milk weed seeds.
