Monarch about to be pupa. Freeze coming - HELP Please!!

I have five monarch caterpillars, they are about to go in to the pupa stage. I moved them inside late last night during a pouring rain.

Question: Is there any way, or anyone I can overnight, or priority mail them to where there are still flowers in bloom?

I am pretty sure that we will have a hard freeze here in the Dallas area, and that the cold is probably here to stay. Even if it is not, I don't think there will be food when they emerge as butterflies.

I don't want to loose these little ones, I appreciate any suggestions that you all can offer.

Finally found my old account!! YAY! For some reason it always seems to reject the password on this account.

What I mean to say is that I have five Monarch cats that are about to go to pupa... I would love to send them to someone in Florida or whatever.

If there is anyone there that knows if I can mail them, please let me know.

Maybe you could find someone who is traveling to San Antonio, and arrange for the chrysalids to be kept there until the adults emerge.

Thanks! I did figure out somewhere to take them.
If you are in the Dallas area and need to take your butterflies, cats or other, you can take them to the Texas Discovery Gardens. They are in Fair Park in Dallas.
They have a climate controlled place to raise them.

Glad this turned out good. It's wonderful that you took the time to find a place for them.
Gardenweb also has a forum for "Texas Gardening" and I was going to suggest that you post there to find someone to mail them to. You're solution was better though.
