| I am in desperate need of one. My husband had one that was his grandmothers and we have had it for the last 20 years or so. We take it out on the front porch in the spring and leave it out there all summer long, it is in a 3ft pot that barely makes it in the door, and of course it is on a dolly. This fall the temp dropped a lot lower than they thought and it has mostly turned to mush. I had to cut it back hard, but I don’t think it will make it. My husband is heart broke. I really need to replace it.

| Hi I have a plant called Opuntia argetinensis which I'm told is similar or identical to yours. If you want a piece of that I could mail you a pad, they root readily. Mine has withstood temp of 25F without problem. Recently I mailed apiece to someone and it froze in transit, this may not be a good time to ship unless you live in a warm area. Nick |
