hi there,

i'm looking for optunia pads or cactus that is hardy to zone 7- Virginia- I already have the yellow and orange optunia so i'm looking for other colors.

also, i'm not sure what the cactus is called but it's not a pad, it's in long round segments, i was told these are hardy in my area and i'd love to find a couple cuttings.

thanks for any help.
miss daisy

I can't help you on the opuntia, as I have ones that grow here in Missouri and one other call opuntia fragelis....
But I think the one you are asking about is call Cholla Cactus, I got a couple for my mother ( sorry not big enough for starts yet)Sorry I couldn't be of anymore help.

I have Opuntia argentinea AKA brasiliensis which grows like a tree with a stem. Makes lots of small yellow flowers every spring. Have both pads and a couple established plants. Send me an email.
