WANTED: help!-varigated echinopsis emergency!

Posted by mr_firefly (My Page) on

I am DESPERATELY seeking a Varigated Echinopsis. My mother had one, and it was her favorite plant. She had it outside in the warmer months, and someone took it! She was (and still is) very upset about it. I'D LOVE to suprise her for one of her Christmas gifts.
I have many types of cacti and succulents, many rare and hard to find. This is the ONLY thing I can't seem to find.
If you have one, or can steer me in the right direction, let me know what you are looking for. If I don't have it, I'd be happy to buy you one and ship it to you. (If that gives any indication how hard I am looking.)
I currently have OVER 30 Schick hybrids of Echinopsis, and I would be happy to put together a fabulous assorment of offsets for you. (That could be another option. And considering what they normally go for, a FANTASTIC trade to the person who can help me.)

You can find them on ebay pretty cheaply. For instance, look here:

You may be having trouble because you're spelling "variegated" wrong. ;-)
