Rian,

I think that first one is A. rufescens. Nice group of plants and that last shot, wow - New World Crassulaceae at some of its finest excites this Western Hemispherer, even if you didn't call it Tacitus bellus-TFS!!!

hehe, so you like the "other" name! I was always thinking rufescens but not so sure suddenly, so I thought some independent conformation would be welcome...

Rian,

I've always enjoyed some good, short Latin.

Hi there BP,

Beautiful blooms & especially the Grapto, great pix too!

However, I though that Anacampseros rufescens was the one w/ the somewhat Rhomboid leaves & the purple undertones. I believe this one's come up several times recently, I myself have IDed for folks twice in the last month.

I was thinking the 1st one looked like Anacampseros baeseckei, but there may not be enough webbing (or compactness?) for it to be that.

Love the giant pink blooms! I have tried having it...but killed 3 different plants. I gave up on it. :/

Thank you, Roro - I'm with you on the Tb, too - it's no wonder I had 200 extra pot labels, all used.

Thanks to all. Whatever they may be - I do love them for some reason more and more...

RE: Anacampseros bloom

Rian,

This one was right up there with Aeonium tabuliforme as some of the most difficult plants for me to grow EVER. I know I went through at least three, if not five plants, over the San Diego period and abjectly failed each time. It brings a tear to my eye still (clutches chest and sobs silently).

Oh, I do understand the feeling - I think we all find the one or 10 plants that just will not play by the rules!
