hardiness of Echeveria runyonii

Trolling around the net I have discovered references (Yucca Do Nursery) to Echeveria runyonii being hardy to Zone 7b, and likewise (anecdotal accounts) for Graptopetalum paraguayense and X Graptosedum 'Bronze'/'Vera Higgins'.
I'm in Zone 8a and am considering an in-ground planting of these on a well-drained, sandy slope on the southwest corner of my house.
Has anybody tried this in Zone 8 or below and had success?
