Jade aerial roots

My four-year-old jade plant (orig purchased at a supermarket) is thriving marvellously. Repotted once, it has a nice round shape and no problems.

The last couple of years it has occasionally developed what appear to be aerial roots along its branches.

Should I just cut these off and stick them in potting soil to propagate new plants? Will that work?

Any good tricks to know?
