Tropical Dorstenia are recent finds and assume they'll be hard to find if avalaible as most to all of these are rare

Can't D. gigas and the like be considered tropical?

I'd been given a D. under the name Jerva Cava (giver brought it back from the Caribbean), which I think was really Contra Jerva, based on pic.

Anyway, I consider it a thirsty succulent (like Euph milii), while seemingly succulent, they want a lot of water. It had a caudex, but also a thickish stem.

I grew it a couple of years, it bloomed which was interesting, but it also spits seeds all over into other pots. Even tho' I had it on a pebble tray & watered it often (at least twice a week, sometimes more), I could never keep up the watering, eventually I gave it away.
