Hi Dawn, this is the first time I'v heard of this Schlumbergera I couldn't find much on it about the same as you did. so I can't help you but sure would like to find out more about it. I hope some one comes along and helps, I'll be checking on this thread to see what comes up.

greenman28 - I'm assuming it's extinct in it's natural habitat. That's what the person I bought it from told me. I cannot confirm that online.

I paid a lot for this plant, I want to give it the best care possible :)

I was wondering where you got such a gem? I've only seen it offered through EPRIC in the Netherlands. Never here in the US. It requires almost ideal conditions, never under 70, and humid.

Good luck with your plant. They are extremely hard to keep alive.

I acquired mine from Rainbow Gardens in the late '80s; it requires the same care as others in Schlumbergera.

At home it sees a range of 60-80°F (15-27°C). I fertilize with half-strength Liquid Kelp and Fish monthly in the spring and summer.

At the garden where I work, it is kept with tropical orchids and is a slow grower.
