My question is, how are you going to drain those trays?
For me, it goes out just about as fast as it goes in.....no pussy-footin' around. When dry, I do it again. Others may have differing opinions.

BJoe, they look great, you have a lovely collection there. One thing I noticed, and I hope you don't mind me saying is that I would be wary of the taller ones in the first picture being closer to the lights....as, do they produce heat as well?
As for saucers, yes I do use them myself in my very similar big trays. I find water does drain through my pots rapidly and it's all too easy to give enough to run out and collect in the tray. Times this by however many plants in there and you could end up with a water garden! Putting 'wicks' from the trays to a collecting pot underneath would help and I've used that in cases of a flooded very heavy pot before, it works a treat. I have also used capillary mats under plants at times, but that would encourage a more humid environment, that's not what you need for c/s is it? I bet someone else will come in with a far easier remedy. Just a few ideas....maybe :)
