This used to be my problem until I began using imidacloprid granules. I summer my plants outside and insects lay their eggs in the soil. When I bring them into the greenhouse, the warmth allows the eggs to mature and turn into grubs, larva. I dose all of my plants in late August with imidacloprid granules and don't have issues anymore.

Once they ascend the stem, about all you can do is cut the top off and root it.

Thanks so much bikerdoc5968, I think that's all I can really do, I'm also going to be repotting everything now in a soil mixture heavy in pumice, no more perlite since it breaks down so fast.
