Maybe I missed something which isn't unusual for me, but it would help if we had a better idea where in zone 6 you are. There are two places in Michigan, one in Charlotte and the other southwest of Jackson. Then there is the University of Michigan conservatory in Dixboro and the Michigan State conservatory at Hidden Lakes outside of Tipton. If you are on the west side of the state, the Frederik Meijer Gardens (http://www.meijergardens.org) in Grand Rapids. If your itch will wait until late June, the St Louis show (http://www.hscactus.org/SHOW/index.html) is supposed to be wonderful; hope to make it there this summer.

Well it's after the weekend in question.

But, if you're in Jersey, & you're still itching for a botanical & /or succulent fix, both the NY & the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens are pretty beautiful & BOTH have indoor conservatories (w/ succulents) that can be enjoyed in this frigid weather. I often go to the Brooklyn one in Feb. to see the Aloes in bloom in their Arid Conservatory. Certainly an afternoon entertainment worth trying; good fun! (Last I knew, admission is $20 at the NYBG & $10 at the Brooklyn BG.)

I would definitely recommend a visit to Longwood
Gardens as mentioned, especially in the spring. Walking the grounds could take days and they are just breathtaking! The conservatory is equally wonderful.
