I doubt you have a 'Whirlpool' Haworthia, though. It should have light green leaves, tipped with dark green & very large/wide (compared to what you have there). I also think you would've paid a pretty penny for it. If it was from Home Depot...even more doubt about the name. See link below for a pic of the real deal.

Rosemariero, I got the whirlpool on Etsy. The rock and the gasteria were the only ones I bought at Home Depot.

Are there other Haws that take on the whirlpool effect?

Nik23, your flower is beauty. Like your rock. I went to take picture because I now have a second bloom from mine, but found my camera batteries did not charge, and my cell was dead~
Always seems it something wrong...........lolol

Today, I decided that maybe I better pot my rock. I pulled it out of its tiny pot and gee, it was dry as dry could get and maybe root bound. I mixed up my cactus/succulent mix and finally found a small plastic pot that its contents was dead and cleaned it and potted. While mixing up the soil, I did wet it, but, after potting the rock in the soil, I did not add any more water, I figured it could soak up water from the new soil. I am scared I will kill the poor pretty thing.................

I might suggest your Haworthia is Haworthia truncata 'Sizunami'. Sometimes the "truncate" is left out of the name. A nice Haw to have and pups, too!
