 o
Haworthia Name, Please

I've posted this plant in the past. Was visiting my son who owns the parent plant and took a division (pictured). The inside of the leaves are smooth while the outer surface has small white bumps which seem to be aligned on the leave edges and keel of the leaf. So what is it?

Does it have a columnar growth habit? It could be H. coarctata.

Yes, Ken. It pups from the main column and from the base. I took off two cuttings from the main column and found several tiny new areas of growth.

I know there are a couple of "look-a-likes". Some with bumps on the dorsal side of the leave, both sides and the ventral side.

I agree, could be on of the many forms of H. coarctata and perhaps f. greenii.

Rosemarie, do you know if H. coarctata was once H.reinwardtii or are they different genera? And is it possible for this to be a form of H. reinwardtii?

Howard, they are different & are often confused for each other. I just found 2 in my book that look very close to your plant. Yes, it is possible, to be a form of H. reinwardtii, but I don't think so.
