T. spathacea gets large before it produces its interesting flowers. Horticulturists have produced miniature versions of it but they do not bloom, in my experience. One dwarf type was developed a few years ago with white longitudinal stripes with tinges of pink. Neglecting it for a few years has resulted in this version which shows no sign of a flower and stays very small. Yale
