use a heavier pot, ceramic. It's an aloe that needs more light. Propagate from offsets.

Looks like a very skinny-leaved version (maybe from less than optimal light) of Aloe ciliaris.

Itôs been sitting in my south-facing window for the winter, maybe thatôs why itôs so leggy? I canôt take the plants outside, since itôs been so cold. I donôt see any offsets, will they grow eventually when itôs warmer and I can take it outside?

These things grow like monsters from cuttings - they will grow up the sides of trees. ie-I have a palm tree and they grew 10 feet up the side of it and keep going!

You can litteraly break off peices and just shove them in soil. -

Question: Anyone know if there are beneficial medicinal benefits from the leaves like Aloe Vera Barbadensis?

Your plant looks like it may be Aloe ciliaris. I was told that these do not create offsets and you have to do cuttings or grow from seed. I also got mine at a BBS, so I may not even have the correct name on the tag.

Here's mine in full sun. It's about a foot tall.

My Aloe does not have the big "spines" in Crendaôs pic. Maybe lack of light? and yes!! I just checked and there seems to be an offset!! I feel happy :)
Iôm researching now to see its hardiness, and try to get it out of the house soon.
Yorkiemiki: where are you? Iôm in Central Texas (Austin suburbs) and I wonder if the Aloe would survive our winter.

Obviously, I need to do some research on the plant. Offsets would be great. And good for you PhytoRo - I'd feel happy, too!
