I've never seen anything like that before & I do grow some Gasterias. The fact that it repeats in identical places on multiple leaves disturbs me. Intuition tells me it's not normal; (if mechanical injury, I doubt it would be so consistent). Given those points, I'd return it to vendor if it were mine.
