I want to plant a variegated agave americana in my yard but theres not enough space for a full grown one. I was wondering if there was a way to plant the agave in the ground and to keep it in a dwarf form as to keep it from growing to its full size.

Pick another variegated agave, .....Like Variegated neomexicana.

Those Neomexicana sunspots are beautiful agaves!

If you already have your agave you can try keeping it in a pot, and burying the pot.
