It does look etiolated, but I don't know if they'd shrink back to regular size given more sun. This can be a full-sun plant (and is most colourful then), but you'd want to acclimate it slowly.
That'd make it an ugly plant though, and we wouldn't want that if we don't have to have it. I'd chuck the old ones as the new ones grow, but at any rate, increase its light level daily and see what happens, other than stimulating new, properly-sized growth.
I think Jeff is saying he likes your big, sprawling plant as it is and a good option would be to just increase it's light gradually and see what happens. If you cut each head off and repot, well that's the obvious thing to do but you'll end up with tons of smaller plants. Furthermore, if you're in the propagation game, you could cut the stem into sections and each section would produce a new plant if not 2 or 3.
