Aloe damage

Crenda 10A SW FL

I was happy to find this Aloe dorotheae at HD for 5 bucks. There were a few little knicks on the backs of some of the leaves, but otherwise it looked to be healthy - and not overwatered, for a change!

Here I am a few days later, ready to repot into suitable soil, but this leaf looks bad. It is rot, edema, or the mechanical damage? Should I remove the bad part or cut that leaf off?

The rest of the plant still looks good - so far.
