Euphorbia knuthii is very easy to grow from seed and produces, in some people's account, nicer caudeces. This is an "arm" cutting taken about about 18 months ago from my stock plant. As many may know, the arms eventually get very long and hang over. I remove the longest arms, callous them, and root them. You have to leave them in place for at least a year or the roots will not enlarge. While some may say this is "cheating", I think they past muster and it's a lot faster to get them to this point from cutting as opposed to seed. If you look closely between the two arms, you will see the cut end of the original arm that has been removed to grow another plant.
