I purchased a beautiful potted Agave this past Sunday (3/9) and stupidly watered it when I got it home, as the soil was dry. A day or so later I saw that the leaves, which had been standing upright, were now lying flat against the sides of the pot. The majority of the leaves now look mushy and water-logged and are a dark green color by the roots. The inside leaves came off easily and I hesitate to touch the plant now. The plant is still draining itself; I empty the draindish daily, and I am now afraid that I may have done some damage. This plant is on the counter of my guest bathroom, and gets partial sunlight and the bathroom is heated but not humid. Is my poor plant beyond the point of no return, or is there anything else I can do to try to save it? Any advice for this novice would be appreciated! Thank you!
