potential damage?

Nice find! A lovely specimen of Euphorbia lactea variegata to my eyes. The plant looks in good health, you must have found it shortly after they received it. If it were mine, I would separate them in their own pots, because I like one plant per pot, and also in this case so the plants have room to grow. You don't want the branches of one plant to poke the branches of the other. I would do the repot later in Spring, and also use a less organic and less water retentive potting mix. How large are they, and if you don't mind saying, how much did you pay? A nice find for Home Depot.

I asked the woman at the Home Depot and she said these always sell out within the first day they receive them. The smaller spine is about 11 inches and the taller, 13 inches. I paid $17(!!!!!) for these. There were two specimens, and in the 15 minutes it took me to find my boyfriend in the depths of the tools section one had already been taken! I'm so happy I was able to snag this one.

Very nice euphorbia.
I bought one in HD last year, just 2 much smaller 'stems' and paid $8 for it. There was only one in the store that day.
It had more green in few spots than yours. I guess they may revert sometimes?
Unfortunately, it's goner this winter. Not sure the reason, but 3 of my euphorbias are gone. I am sure they were not overwatered, but maybe cold (49F)? Would they need higher temps during winter? Kept inside.

I keep my Euphorbia at average room temperature during the winter, and water maybe every ten days or so, depending on the amount of sun. I made a mistake of not watering one of my Euphorbia all winter, as I do with my cacti, and I ended up dessicating the roots, which led to the plant rotting when I went back to watering in Spring.
