Succulents in a temporary arrangement

Hi! I want to use some of my new succulents in a temporary arrangement for an event today. I want to use them sort of just laying on moss, not in a pot. Was just wondering how you do that. Do you just rinse the roots and place them where you want them and replant after the event or what??? I am brand new to succulents and am just not sure what to do.

Exactly as you said, no 'or what'. They'll be fine for a week at least afterwards, too.
