My shade garden needs help

I have a garden bed right next to the the entrance of my house that I would like to plant some sedums/stonecrops/succulents. The biggest issue is that it only gets about 2 hours of direct sun. The rest of the time it's shaded by the house (the sun hits the sidewalk right next to it the whole time). It's a raised garden (the type that goes up along steps) so it gets good drainage. I'm in MD, zone 6b. I would love to know of specific varieties that would work in this type of garden. THANK YOU!!

Well I'm no expert, but I believe Euphorbia triculli (pencil cactus) is a succulent that does not need direct sunlight to grow. Be careful however, because the sap of this plant can cause extreme irritation if it comes in contact with skin, and can cause temporary blindness if the sap gets in your eye.

Well, succulents are not really shade friendly. You could try some Sedum and see what it does, but you really don't have much sun.

I have a Sedum sieboldii that does surprisingly well with about 2 hours of direct sun. More sun is definitely better, but in a pinch...

Gasteria and (alpine) Saxifraga is my recommandation.

I also had 2 varieties of sedum that did just fine in shade, so your 2 hours of sun will seem like a bonus!

One is blue spruce sedum and the other is what I could identify similarly as Sedum sarmentosum or similar.
