Definitely with you on pests! Sun is my biggest issue, it's intense here in CO and I have trouble finding a happy medium between sunburn/shriveling and etiolation, so I wish that would go away!

I also agree about the pests and Spapa, I live where the sun is very intense too. I was just looking at the small Echinopsis hybrids I got last year and they most definitely didn't get enough sun last summer.

I'm racking my brain on how to give the little ones more light without burning them to a cinder but enough to keep that nice globular shape. Oh to live in a more agreeable climate or really have favorite plants with super powers :-)

Immune to mealies. Other than that they are wonderful. :)

I guess we could buy plasticâ¦..not. There was that guy in China that does beautiful porcelain echeverias. I think that would do well in the desert sun.

Have to admit porcelain replicates would have a few perks, we'd neverover or under water as there is no need to water, never need to repot, never get the soil mix wrong. Sounds better then those tye dyed eye sores at an area BBS.
