Hey there, I don't know anything about cacti so I know this is a stupid question :(

I received a pad from someone, she called it a prickly pear. I put it in some dirt and put some rocks around it and put it on my porch and forgot about it during the winter. Now it's growing these little leaf things.

What's this growing on it? Is it going to grow flowers?
