| Did you sow seeds? Cacti are dicots, so when they first emerge, they just about all look like bird beaks. Some may be a little fatter or skinnier. Something,will grow from the center of the 'mouth' Good luck with your new baby |

| Wow, you caught me off guard here! I wasn't expecting it to be so small! Well, I'm afraid the only step toward identifying it I can give is that it isn't a cactus. Perhaps a Faucaria? |

| That is a Conophytum, hard to say which... maybe loeschianum? |

| Ah! Thanks for the help all. I'm pretty sure now that it is a Conophytum bilobum, I just needed the nudge in the right direction toward identifying this baby. Ah and they are so pretty when they flower, kinda like yellow sparklers :) thanks to you especially, hanzrobo, you were right |
