Please identify a friend's Agave

Agave aficionados -- do you recognize this? It's located in Chesapeake, VA (Zone 8)and spends the winter in an unheated greenhouse. I told my friend somebody here would know it!

I have seen them around. Maybe Colorado? It is supposed to be the most hardy of the bunch.

I'm confused--are you saying you have seen this particular Agave in Colorado, USA or are you telling me its name is Agave 'Colorado'?

It might be Agave colorata.

It looks big enough to house a village !!! Is it really that big or is the picture deceiving??

I like the looks of it,just wouldn't want to encounter it.LOL
