This is what it looks like. Is it dead??

Not dead in my opinion, just reacting to being repotted (mine turn a weird color for a while after repotting, then get green again).

However, that pot HUGE. Too big for that tiny plant. If you don't move it to something smaller, it's going to rot in that wet soil.

That soil is too moisture retentitive for Succulents. As said above the pot is WAY too big for it. The combination of the two is quite likely to cause rot. Pot size should be no more than an inch or w larger than the root ball.

Other than potting down much smaller, you need to amend your soil w/ at least 50% perlite to help it be faster draining & avoid the root rot.

I moved the aloe to a spot where it isnt in direct sunlight and also cut the pot down to a 4 inch pot and added corse sand and little rocks until I can go get some decent soil as they dont have any in town and already its turning green instead of the ugly brown it was before :)
