I found an ebayer that is selling string of pearls the image next to the item shows nice plump and round string of pearls but when you scroll down to the picture of the big string of pearls owned by the buyer it is not round! it's pointy! i've been through so many vendors selling string of pearls with pointy "pearls" where can i find genuine round ones =\
This is the ebay posting

Hi !

The pointy form is Senecio herreianus (round form : Senecio rowleyanus )

Could also be S. citriformis in the pic. Agree, you're looking for S. rowleyanus. Buy according to botanical epithet, not common name.

Yes the lady on ebay even wrote rowelyanus but it doesn't look it.

I recently bought five cuttings from the seller "planetfern" ... but it seems he's got no items for sale at the moment. The cuttings were perfectly healthy and all five took off. I will note that the new growth is pointy, but the leaves do mature into round "pearls" after time. The existing leaves on the cuttings are perfectly round. The plant in the pic you linked to just doesn't look right!

Is it possible that her plant actually is a S. rowleyanus, but for some reason (light, soil, watering), the leaves aren't plumping up as they should?
