Keith, that is sure one crazy looking plant. Are you sure it's a gasteria? Never seen a stem like that on one. Also it looks like the flower stem has some branching interestingness. ??? Can't wait to see the pot you are dreaming up for it. Please post it when you are done. :-)

Missed the flower photo but they are Gasteria. The reason it looks like Aloe is the elongated foliage from the result of growing it in low light

can you take a cutting off a leaf and root it. As you must know, I have looking thru all the post trying to find some gasterias................so came across this post............
