Cissus tuberosa in new pot

I repotted my C. tuberosa into something I made that recently came out of the kiln. I'm very happy with the pot/plant combination and wanted to share it with all of you.

Its a pretty big plant, the caudex is is about 5" in diameter:

You can get a better idea of its size in this picture. (That is my Ibervillea tenuisecta on the right)

Especially when the foliage is still small and young, it has a really pleasing form:

Deeply lobed for certain!

Between the warts and peeling skin, the caudex has tons of interesting texture.

It looked good in the old pot too, maybe a little too cramped though.

And for all the ceramists lurking around, a close up of the pot.

Very nice pottery-when did you get the kiln?

Oh man, I wish it was my kiln! In fact, it is just the kiln at the studio I was taking classes at. Although I'm not enrolled in any classes at the moment, we are allowed to finish anything we started before the class ended. I've been working my way through all the bisqueware I never got around to glazing...
