Sorry if that was a bit confusing, I meant to say that the squirrel snapped the limb in about the middle of the limb. The upper half of the limb is still connected to the lower half but not by much.

Really a photo of your plant would help with a course of action.

Your plant is now properly known as Crassula ovata, also known as Jade. They respond very well to pruning, or 'whacking' as we on the forum call it. And the broken branch can easily be rooted to start a new plant.

These plants are very common today, so I am sure if need be, your plant could easily be replaced with a larger specimen at a minimal cost.

Jade plants, in my experience, are really good almost aggressive growers, given the right conditions. Sunlight and perhaps a very weak fertilizer dissolved when you water, maybe, will boost new growth. The plants I used to have were never fed, so just a thought to encourage branching. It really won't take years to get a nicely leaved plant back and the growing season is still in effect, currently.
True, if you can post a pic of the size of plant and broken limb it'd be easier to asses if it will heal or simply become a second plant grown from this squirrel "cutting".
