Slowly, move to them to more intense sun. In Ohio, I give them a week with just evening sun, and then move them to late afternoon sun for a week. After that, I give the ones that can handle it, full sun. You might go a little slower in Z8.

I set all mine on a table and use bug screen draped over them...It works like a charm and does not get blown off of anything...

I fold a nice big piece in half and rest them on top, or supported above the plants by sticks..
Then after a week I unfold it leaving one layer for another week.
Then on the thrid remove it all together..

Sitting under a large tree that you can walk under without ducking is excellent, if an option. The weaker rays of early morning and late evening can get under there, but all of the harsher rays are blocked. You'll probably be tweaking the arrangement every day/every other day, for a few weeks, as they adjust and the shadows move a bit from the sun's changing angles.
