Currently growing this plant in amended clay soil in Sacramento, CA. Has been successful so far by limiting deep watering once monthly. I have 3 plants. 2 of which were extremely happy and flowered in late summer/ early fall. 1 of 3 got some browning of leaves (frost damage?)and did not flower. After flowering, spent stalk were cut off at base. Late spring the year after each plant has 2 new shoots emerged next to stump of flower stalk. Not sure if plant will keep single rosette formation with 2 new shoots. Any ideas? Should I cut off one shoot so plant can remain as a single rosette plant? I just don't want to kill this beautiful plant.
