ID for gifted cactus :-)

I was given these pups recently by a neighbor and she did not know the name of the mother plant.
Mamma was about 8" tall, 4" around, surrounded by pups and had a long tubular lavender flower (about 6" )
At first I thought maybe a hedgehog, but the spines and bloom didn't seem right to me. ??
These are 3 or 4" tall, just little guys right now.
