Wow, notolover, what a find!!! I'd be surprised to see something this nice at Home Depot. Heck of a lot prettier than some lame paper glued atrocity. How big are the plants? Anything else popping in the yard? hint, hint (pictures)

Just found out the accepted name (I think) for that particlular cultivated hybrid is Echinobivia, a new one for me, too. I hope to see some flowers on yours.

A few weeks ago my Walmart had three of these, one had a flower bud forming. I hid it somewhere intending to get it the next week. I came back and It was gone. :( So I settled on a rainbow burst with no buds with several offsets. The lobivia hybrids probably produce my favorite cactus flowers.

Not much popping in my yard other than a bunch of these Aqua Domes protecting my new arrivals. If I don't screw up, if there is no freak weather and if the wildlife around here leave everything alone, I still won't get Echinopsis flowers until mid Summer. And you don't have to hint for pictures--I'll be boring you soon enough, hopefully :-) The plants I bought were in 3" pots.

CactusM, thanks for finding the correct name for me. With my luck, they will probably all have white flowers. It's a gamble, but fun at the same time, like opening a present..

Sundewd, I know that I have to buy things when I see them here because they will either be gone or in terrible shape by the time I return. Sorry the plant was gone when you went back. Maybe you will find something even better next time.
