Agave flowering ?

Hi all, new to the forum, I am just curious to find out about my agave that has grown this long (more then 2m) appendage, I guess it is seeding or flowering. It has taken only 4 weeks to get this big and still growing, if any one can give any info as to how often this happens and what to expect would be much appreciated

Hello and welcome!
It sure looks like it is in the process of flowering to me. Unfortunately, the plant will die after doing so, but I believe it takes awhile. Fortunately, it looks like you have a couple behind it to take it's place!
Others will soon chime in to correct me if I'm mistaken.

Yes, that's exactly what it is, a bloom. That flowering head will die following flowering, but it will take months in doing so. Continue to care for it and you should, IIRC, get pups (bulbils) along the stem of your Agave attenuata, as well as pups at the base, unless you already have them.
