I separated into 2 different plants and this is how the 1st one looks like after a hair cut and repot
Nov 2013

It didn't get enough light from being indoor in due to the cold winter so the new growth was very leggy and ugly
Feb 2014

gave it a chop

another chop a few weeks later in March

Final Chop in April 2014 before it went outside for full sun

I love jade whacks so much. I love the process of making it look rough for awhile and eventually transforming it into something much more beautiful in the end. Good coloring on the most recent growth. That increased light sure made a difference. What are your plans next for the plant? Letting it grow for awhile? Did you get any good cuttings out of the whack?

When I whacked my Gollum, I didn't have space to put all the extra cuttings.
This is my temporary growing pot so I shove all kinds of cuttings into it.
Will update again after I repot into a nicer shallow pot in a few weeks on its own,

Awesome! Very brave, I would love to cut mine down to a single trunk, but an thinking maybe that is a next spring thing to do. Do you use gritty mix?

Very nice! I have a few Crosbys that need a whack and I have been timid about it. This is a good time for me, the monsoons are over and it is nice and warm out. MAYBE I'll be brave enough to follow through!

Prune early, prune often!
