Rina, yes with morning sun up to 2pm
Mymimi - I make it a priority, always did it with stickers, could not get enough tags or square pots, now this problem is sorted...
Yep..lol..mrlike
Natalia - I am happiest about the crassula, because they where all over the place and I am now repotting tagging and putting them together, they so deserve they own place in the sun...

RE: Horizontally challenged...?

Holy Smokes...NOW that's an Addiction,lol...Wonderful job!

Like you said, good luck once they start growing.

 o
RE: Horizontally challenged...?

Puglvr..someone asked here a while back...when is it an addiction, I still feel in control, just! LOL! One thing, the plants on the racks are juveniles and full grown plants, they will not use more space...maybe a few crassula(s)! LOL! I have put all the genus species together - there are a few other racks as well..hehehe, but it is nice to stand there and look through them...

I have one rack with 3 layers of babies, each pot 15-30 seedlings - wish me luck on that transplant!!

RE: Horizontally challenged...?

Rian,

Very impressive. I can see you'll be able to repopulate wild plants in no time. Have you thought about a career in land remediation?

 o
RE: Horizontally challenged...?

No, but I would have loved to go and do research in the field..love that type of thing and walking in their environments or develop a nursery for breeding these plants.

 o
RE: Horizontally challenged...?

Absolutely wonderful, Rian. You continually amaze me.

One person may not be able to do it all, but you can certainly do some to repopulate the environment if that is your goal. Looks like you have a pretty good start on things if that is what you want. Perhaps finding a few like-minded people would help out.

RE: Horizontally challenged...?

Rian, I have a book on Crassula that I am ready to pass on. I mentioned it about a year ago and I think you were the first person to express interest in it. Could you please email me so I can give you more info?

RE: Horizontally challenged...?

All those pots in neat rows and tagged scare me. I am going to dream about them....oh oh.

 o
RE: Horizontally challenged...?

Don't do that!! LOL! If you look at the difference between the round pots (pleios) and the square, I just feel it is more pleasing to the eye. I guess I am a square! hehe

 o
RE: Horizontally challenged...?

Well, if you ever get tired of them, send them to me! I love them!
Are you a vendor? (should I even ask?)
Or a collector?
Impressive!

I bet your house is very organized . . . (my house certainly is not.)

 o
RE: Horizontally challenged...?

Sherry, A fan! I love the mesemb-group, so most are mesembs, then there is Crassula, Haworthia and Aloe. I do collect and not a vendor. And the house is not organized, I spend all my time sorting the plants ... LOL!
