Cut the pad or pads off where you want. Dust the cuts with Cinammon ( acts as a fungicide) let them calolus over in a dry spot for a week. Then put it in a fast draining soil and DO NOT WATER till it has formed roots. If you tug on them in a couple of weeks to a month, One will feel resistance then one can start watering.

Can I ask why do you want to cut your plant apart?

Well, just so it would be easier to handle, for one thing. I assume that the discoloration on the bottom of the plant is normal? I was wondering if it was in distress. WE may just end up repotting, but I thought it would be nice to have several plants.

The discoloration is "Corking". Normal. A sign of age. When was the last time that you changed the soil?
