Keep it dry & give it a lot of sun & it should be fine

Would moisten the new soil and let dry overnight sink it in the pot deeper just befor or near the split .

I gave him a healthy watering and let the soil completely dry out but the wrinkling seems to have stayed the same or possibly worsened slightly.

what could be the reason for it's current appearance? do you think it's possible it's getting too much intense sun in an east-facing window?

how should I proceed? should I continue watering until the wrinkles go away??

Don't feel bad, these are a challenge for most people to grow, including me! Most of the time they are either over watered or under watered. Google search them and do a lot of reading. I just bought another small pot myself. I started some seeds 2 years ago and ONE made it and is still alive. I ordered some more seeds which should be here next week. Luckily Lithops are not that expensive so just keep trying!

Watering My guess by lack of seeing a side view is to flush it by watering it again

Wont be to helpful my zone area is different and I keep lithops outside day and night in TC pots not plastic. The one seen in my pic hasn't had a misted (drink) sence... Ummm last month sometime and again the day after

My adivce is when you water, water later in the day darker side allow the water to drip though on the edge of pot by a slow steady near drip stream. They are very good at it, specalist as I am told and will also collect moisture from the cooler air if outside over night. Better to under water than to over water.

no the second image I attached is older! that's what it looked like the day I bought it and has since then gotten wrinkled and looks burnt
