Don't matter to ME if it's a pad OR bud JUST checking

Looks like a pad to me. here is a picture of one of mine forming a bud for reference.

Oooh OKAY, Cause in a different forum someone said THAT buds are kinda separate from the pad sooo figured I'd ask, its already got pads growing as big as MY hand! Curious WHY THIS ONE decided to pop up later THEM the other ones..?? Oh well i guess that's how plants are sometimes

That is how plants work, This bud has been growing and the pad isn't even rooted. I cut the pad off and put in grit about 2 weeks ago and it started growing the bud right after.

Stored energy I guess.

Haha MINE got sooo many pads on it that i gatta rotate it from time to time so it doesn't JUST fall over forward or backwards. ..... even the broken pad THAT came in the pot has rooted in its temporary home..the roots are sooo deep AND long i can't move the pad outta the clipping bowl unless i pull IT out with ALL the soil. LOL

There nice to look at but I just hate all thos spines, The tiny red ones the most. Do you know poeple eat them. Also the fruit after the flower dies. Turns a reddish color when ripe.

I make Jelly out of the fruit and the pads are sold here in our grocery stores. :-)
