New Echeveria and question re: Fafard potting mix

I went to a local independent nursery today intending to look for potting mix etc. (not more plants!) and found this Echeveria elegans and fell in love. The nursery carries and uses Fafard Cactus and Succulent Mix, per the woman I talked to (generally very good advice at this nursery) they don't amend it with anything. It's peat based but more fibrous than the Miracle Gro cactus soil and very loose (if you squeeze it and open your hand it crumbles immediately) but I am dubious about using it as is and was thinking I should amend it with coarse perlite. With the Miracle Gro I use 40 percent potting mix to 60% coarse perlite, would you use this with a similar ratio? Less? More?
